How do I PRINT the template?
ReplyDeleteClick on whichever link you're interested in. This should take you to the webpage where the template is, and there should be a link somewhere on that page to download the template. Then you can print it. Each website will be different, so it will depend on which template you're interested in. :)
DeleteThese books are fantastic. We have our first grandchild on the way. I cannot wait to make a few of these for her. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are a legend! Thanks for doing this for everyone!
ReplyDeleteamen
DeleteYall are fantastic!! You just saved me so much money and sanity for a 23 hour road trip with a toddler bless your hearts!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for compiling such a huge list of templates!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including my "Feel the Snitch" Harry Potter page!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! You are so talented, and looking through your blog is SO motivating! I'm making a quiet book with 11 other ladies (we each make 12 copies of a page and then swap), and I am so grateful to have found the perfect template from your blog! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful blog! So many wonderful ideas. And you put so much pride in your work! The amount of work you do is absolutely amazing. I almost feel overwhelmed looking at this wonderful blog! Any chance you'd be interested in making and selling some of your work?
ReplyDeleteThis is the best blog I have found in ages!!! Cannot wait to start making my babies own book! Please just explain how to put the book together, with the rings? Will the felt not tear? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi! I used my sewing machine to sew three button holes in the side of each page, and I put the binder rings through the button holes. That way I could make sure the felt wouldn't tear. :)
DeleteAnother blog mentioned you were successful at gluing a Mr. Potato Head instead of sewing but I can't seem to find it.
ReplyDeleteHi! You might be thinking of this post: http://quietbookblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/lauryns-quiet-books.html. She used hot glue for all her pages instead of sewing, including her Mr. Potato page.
DeleteWhat an amazing list! Thank you! You've made my searching for ideas a LOT easier. Off to make several for my grand babies!
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding our pages!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this directory, amazing :) http://felting.craftgossip.com/2014/06/24/quiet-books-free-pattern-directory/

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your templates! I've made quite a few pages now but due to the materials (veggies, fruits, barn animals, dog collar etc) the book is super buldgy in the middle and doesn't lay flat at all. Do you have any advice on how to combat that?
ReplyDeletethanks loads for all the templates :) made a couple of books and gonna make a couple more :)
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteSilly question ... what size are your pages? want to start making a book and slightly concerned I'm going to make my pages too small!
Thanks
Great job and thanks for the templates.. Can you tell me which felt you used.. I got one pack from michaels but feel its so soft and thin ..
ReplyDeleteIs there some sort of specific felt to buy? For someone just starting up who will begin with the gluing method , how much felt do I need initially ?
ReplyDeleteQuestion. How do you bind the book? I am trying to put mine together but I am having a hard time. Do you sew the pages together right sides together, flip and top stitch? And how do you attach a cover?
ReplyDeleteJocelyn, I too, am interested in a couple of the questions here. What is the best type of felt..where to purchase it? Do you have links to help us understand how to bind the book or could you add some? I can't wait to begin!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Quiet/Busy Books until my daughter-in-law told me that she would like me to make one her for first born. I have been doing a lot of research on this topic and I must admit that I'm intrigued! I will be making a few of these myself, Thank you to all who have blogs with free templates. What is the best size for each page?
ReplyDeleteI'm using busy/quiet book ideas to make a gift for a friend who is soon to be a Grandmother- it's her Baby Sitting Shirt!
ReplyDeleteTake a heavy weight T-shirt or sweatshirt - something comfortable and, most important, washable. With fabric scraps, zippers, beads etc. use any of the ideas here and sew them onto the shirt on the chest and shoulders.
Add a pocket that's just the right size for a few tissues down at waist or hip level - something that is easy for Grandma to reach.
On my Mom's I put a stuffed cloud shape on one side near the shoulder, containing a Touchtone music button that plays a lullaby when you press it. The button can be removed from the inside of the shirt - it's not washable - through a small flap that closes with a snap fastener.
I had the words "Rae's Baby Sitting Shirt" commercially embroidered on the one I made for my Mother. If you have a machine that does embroidery you could do that yourself, or use fabric paints.
I cannot find how to make the actual pages! What is inside the fabric? Is there a link how to make the pages? Hurry please???
ReplyDeleteactually a 13 year old who thinks this is the coolest thing ever

Yeah, my Quiet book about bugs is done. It is about ten creepy crawlers and one I spy page. This is where you can see how to finish off the book.
ReplyDeleteIt gives children of 3 years and above the chance to look at the little animals up close and practice their dexterity.
