Today's adorable quiet book is made by the talented Lily from the blog Craft Learn & Play. This is the first quiet book she made, for her nephew. What's your name? Describe yourself in one sentence. 
My name is Lily Zunic and I'm a first time mom who loves to create things; toys, games, decorations, accessories, food...well whatever I can think of. 
 
Who did you make this quiet book for? How old are they?
I've made this quiet book for my 2 year-old nephew who lives in Croatia. It was my first quiet book ever and had 16 pages in total.
 
What's your level of sewing experience?
Although my grandma taught me to sew when I was a kid, and I had a sewing course many years ago I would say intermediate.

How long did it take you?
It took me almost two months, not sure about hours. My baby girl was 5 months old at that time so I would sew whenever I had a little spare time.
 
Did you use any templates? Where can they be found?
No, I didn't use any templates for that book, though I found many ideas on Pinterest. Whatever I make I like to cut shapes and tell the story on the go. It is part of the process and is much more fun. And not using templates makes my books different one from another. But on the other hand I started making free templates from my quiet books for moms who want to make their own quiet book. They can be found on my blog: Craft Learn and Play: Quiet Book Ideas - Mother Hen with Chicks.

What material are the pages made out of?
Pages are made of cotton fabric in different patterns and colours. Inside every page is batting to make pages thicker and soft to touch.

What other materials did you use?Besides cotton I’ve used felt, ribbons, velcro, KAM snaps, magnets, nuts and wooden stick (for fishing page), zipper, minky fabric, wooden beads, buttons and even photograph for tractor page.  

What's your favorite page? Why?

Mine favourite page is piggy bank. I’ve made secret pocket, that little project was going on for two days until I manage to sew it properly. But it works perfectly. Every coin you put in piggy bank falls down between pages into wallet. It is great page for practice fine motor skills and zipping. But I love the most soft piggy made of my favourite minky fabric.

Linibau's Quiet Book

Today's quiet book comes to us from Linibau of the blog Trapeando. It is so cute and has some great and unique details. Starting right off, the cover has a flower that, when you lift up the center, you find a picture of the little girl the quiet book was made for. Linibau's book also has a really cute shoe-tying page, a princess dress-up page (with adorable doll, wardrobe, and clothes - I love the little triangle banner!), a tic-tac-toe page, a hair-braiding page, a cookies page that teaches color and shapes, a cupcake baking page, a picnic page (with a picnic basket full of food and a picnic blanket where you can assemble the meal), a counting page with strings of unique, awesome beads (cupcakes, crayons, strawberries, etc.), and an I-Spy page. This book has so many activities and looks so fun. Enjoy!

My name is Linibau from Trapeando. I'm a creative mum and teacher.

Who did you make this quiet book for? How old are they?
I made this quiet book for daughter. She's five years old.

What's your level of sewing experience?
I have an intermediate level of sewing experience.

How long did it take you?
It took me about 10 days (maybe 15-20 hours).

Did you use any templates? Where can they be found?
I used two templates from Imagine Our Life.

How did you bind your quiet book?
90% sewed and 10 % glued

What material are the pages made out of? 

Felt or felt with fabric.

What other materials did you use? 

Vinyl, buttons, interlining...

How much did all the supplies cost you? 

Uf! The buttons are really expensive. About 50 €.

What's your favorite page? Why?  

The dress up and the hairdressing pages. I enjoyed a lot designing them, thinking of my daughter's preferences and imaging her playing.

Džiuginta's "Treasure Island" Quiet Book

I am so excited about the incredibly cute "Treasure Island" quiet book that I get to share with you today. Made by Džiuginta of the blog Domus Feltinis, this detailed book includes a pirate ship cover (complete with light-up lighthouse), a pirate finger puppet, a treasure chest with a lock and filled with treasure, a parrot, a crab, a Jolly Roger pirate flag, seashells on the beach, a treasure map, a letter in a bottle, and a rings and crosses tic-tac-toe. It's incredible. Each page has so much to do and so much to play with.

I love the decorative details on each page, too - especially the rick rack waves and the little seashells sewn to the page. (LOVE the seashells.) I also thought Džiuginta's way of lighting up the lighthouse was very clever - she put a tiny push flashlight (the kind that go on key rings) inside.

I made this quiet book for my 3-year-old son.

I'd say intermediate but I only hand-sew.

How long did it take you?
I am not sure how many hours it took but I worked on it for about a month - one full weekend and whenever I had a couple of hours to spare.

Did you use any templates? Where can they be found? 
I used Treasure and Pirate Island Tic-Tac-Toe templates from the Imagine Our Life blog and some coloring pages as an inspiration for the lighthouse and the ship. The Pirate finger puppet was inspired by a Pirate zombie from the Zombie Felties book. I added some details like the removable crab and parrot for which I made templates myself according to some pictures found on the Internet.

How did you bind your quiet book? 
The pages are stitched together by hand.

What material are the pages made out of? 
The pages are made out of synthetic felt.

What other materials did you use? 
Miniature sea shells, buttons, sequins, ribbons, a zipper, a miniature pocket torch, snaps, a lock, various beads and embellishments...

How much did all the supplies cost you? 
I have no idea, maybe around $20...

What's your favorite page? Why? 
I love the whole book but the front page must be my favorite as I created it from scratch.

Ruthie's Quiet Books

Today I get to share with you two quiet books made by Ruth of the blog Simply Ruthie for her friends' twin toddlers. These quiet books are twins themselves - similar at first glance, but each is unique. Each cover has the name of the twin whose book it is; once you open it up, you find tic tac toe pages (one with clouds and suns, one with flowers and butterflies), fruit trees (one with apples, one with oranges), barns (each full of finger puppets), shape matching and bead counting, ladybug clocks, and "under the sea" pages. The back covers have pockets for little dolls.

I like so much about these quiet books, starting with the fact that they mirror each other, but each has its own unique details. I think my favorite page is the orange tree page - it's such a fun twist on the traditional apple tree page and I like how bright the oranges are. I also really like the blue and white background on that page that makes it look like there's a sky. Each of the pages in these books looks so fun to play with, and I am sure that the twins are going to enjoy them a lot.
