Christmas Quiet Book Kit Giveaway
Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to share with you that we're having a giveaway this week!
I know most of you are probably working on your kids' Halloween costumes right now, but believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner. And if you want to make a Christmas quiet book for someone you know, the time is coming up!
Steph from Simply Crafty Sisters is here today to give away one of her awesome Christmas Quiet Book kits. In her Etsy shop she has the "Here Comes Santa Claus" Christmas Quiet Book PDF available for just $6, or the "Here Comes Santa Claus" PDF plus all the supplies you'll need to make the book for $35. This week she's giving away one of these awesome pattern+supply kits that has everything you need to make this Christmas quiet book!
Pages in the "Here Comes Santa Claus" quiet book include (all descriptions are by Steph from the quiet book PDF's Etsy page):
What's your name? Describe yourself in one sentence.
Steph Bitter. I am a momma of 4 crazy kids ranging for 16 to 2; I love fabric, music, Montessori method, soccer games and require chocolate to stay sane!
Who did you make this quiet book for? How old are they?
This book was created for my 2 1/2 year old daughter who LOVES her quiet books and Christmas. This will go to church with us and sit on her Montessori shelves that we do for our “school” time.
What's your level of sewing experience?
This book is a basic sewing level…but I have decent sewing skills (thanks to 4-H and my mom!). The pattern gives several options to do things (like button holes) for those who aren’t comfortable with them.
How long did it take you?
Once I made the pattern the book took around 10 hours to make…I cut everything first and THEN carried it with me everywhere to work on while I waited for kids at their activities. I finished it in less than a week. I am very much a “start and finish” kind of gal and have made 60+ quiet book pages so I have lots of experience that probably helped make it go quick.
Did you use any templates? Where can they be found?
Yep, it can be found in my etsy shop: Simplycraftysisters.etsy.com
I wanted to create a book with LOTS of fine motor skills and that had a new approach to many favorite quiet book activities for my kiddo.
How did you bind your quiet book?
Grommets and binder rings. I want this book to last for the Grandkids, and my nice hubby sets them for me!
What material are the pages made out of?
Felt, minky, ribbon, fur, clear vinyl.
What other materials did you use?
Snaps, a comb, thread, dry erase marker, buckle, grommets.
How much did all the supplies cost you?
I have the kit available in my shop if you’re interested, with all supplies included for $35: Christmas Quiet Book Fabric Kit.
What's your favorite page? Why?
The Comb Santa’s Beard page….my daughter carried this around for days once it was finished. And truthfully, the idea was what inspired the book to start with. But, the fishing the house decorations out of Santa’s bag is a close second!
Steph's giveaway this week is her "Here Comes Santa Claus" Christmas Quiet Book Fabric Kit (Pattern Download included), which, like the title says, includes the full PDF pattern of the "Here Comes Santa Claus" quiet book as well as all the supplies needed to make this Christmas book.

Interview
What's your name? Describe yourself in one sentence.
Kate. I am a blogger, and public health professional work-at-home mom and I love to create.
Who did you make this quiet book for? How old are they?
I made this quiet book for my little man who is turning two.
What's your level of sewing experience?
I have been sewing for many years, but each pattern includes about 25 pages of instructions with lots of pictures so that people with very limited sewing experience can complete the pages. The pages can also be constructed using fusible webbing with minimal sewing.
How long did it take you?
Each pages takes about 5 hours to complete.
Did you use any templates? Where can they be found?
Pattern and instructions for sale here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/candidlykate
How did you bind your quiet book?
I use a unique idea that allows you to keep the pages all together without permanently binding them using overall clips that come from the back page around to the front. That way you can grab only a few pages if you wish OR pass different pages out to different children.
What material are the pages made out of?
Felt.
What other materials did you use?
Snaps, magnets, buttons, mirror, ribbon, and a variety of other materials.
How much did all the supplies cost you?
Many of the supplies can be found in your stash but the total cost for all supplies is probably around $40 to make the whole book with no coupons used.
What's your favorite page? Why?
Adam and Eve. I think the fox is adorable!
To visit Kate's Etsy shop and see more pictures of each of the pages, click here: Candidly Kate on Etsy.

That's sixteen pages of patterns! And two other readers will each win the PDF patterns to their two favorite pages from the set. The giveway will run from this Monday, August 4 to next Monday, August 11. So make sure to enter! You could win one of three awesome prizes.
